Bruneau and Co. Auctioneers is proud to announce their second Toy, Comic, and Collectible auction in conjunction with Rhode Island Comic Con and host Travis Landry. The auction will take place Sunday, November 13th at Rhode Island Comic Con in the Rhode Island Convention Center, Fifth Floor, Rotunda Room. The auction consists of three hundred and fifty three lots of Silver,Bronze, and Modern age comics, trading cards, and a large vintage toy section consisting of of large Transformers and Star Wars sections. The auction starts at 3:00 and online bidding will be available on eBay, Invaluable, and Liveauctioneers.

The auction opens with an original pen, ink, and watercolor painting by Marvel Artist Mark Texeira, the work depicts a portrait of Stan Lee with Ghost Rider. The work is signed lower center and labeled on the verso “Painted by Mark Texeira, 2016”. The work will also be signed by Stan Lee prior to the auction at Rhode Island Comic Con which is Stan Lee’s final New England Appearance. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Providence Rhode Island’s Meeting Street School.

After the opening lot the first portion of the sale will consist of one hundred and thirty one lots of Silver, Bronze, and Modern age raw and CBCS graded comics. Comic highlights include a Marvel Comics Tales of Suspense No. 39, the first appearance of Iron Man graded a 1.5, D.C Comics Brave and The Bold No. 54, the first appearance and origin of the Teen Titans graded a 7.0, Marvel Comics Incredible Hulk No. 4 graded a 5.0, Marvel Comics Incredible Hulk No. 5 graded a 2.5, and D.C Comics Batman No. 181, the first appearance of Poison Ivy graded a 5.0.

The second portion of the sale will consist of various vintage toys, novelties, and trading cards opening with fifteen lots of 1960’s non sport trading cards. Highlights include a 1966 Topps Green Hornet Sticker set complete with wax wrap and store display box and a 1966 Topps Lost in Space trading card set complete with wax wrap. Vintage toy highlights include a group of eight 1978 Tomland 8” Star Raiders and a 1965 Takara-Hasbro Japanese import 12” G.I Joe.

The final portion of the sale will begin with a selection of twenty-one Takara Diaclone and Generation One American and Japanese Transformers. Highlights include a 1983 Takara Diaclone blue Hoist and silver Skids double set, a 1983 Takara GiG Italian Diaclone Fairlady blue Bluestreak, a 1987 Transformers G1 Targetmaster Artfire graded an AFA 80, and a 1992 Transformers G1 Operation Combination Battle Gaia MISB which leads into one hundred and thirty nine lots of vintage Star Wars toys and novelties. Star Wars highlights include a 1980 Empire Strikes Back Sears Bounty Hunter four pack AFA 75, a 1979 Sears Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker X-Wing two pack AFA 80, a 1985 Droids Boba Fett AFA 40, and a 1984 Return of The Jedi B-Wing AFA 85. The Star Wars section will also consist of twenty three AFA graded and CIB certified prototypes and pre-production items.
