1 - Neolithic Montana Recovered Arrowheads & Artifacts The collection includes 45 original authentic Montana Recovered Neolithic Pre-Historic and early artifacts. Provenance: All of these artifacts were recovered by Doctor Catss of Helena, Montana and his wife thought the 20th century. The items were mainly recovered in the following Montana County's: Broadwater, Jefferson, Gallatin, Lewis and Clark, Meagher, and Madison. The artifacts include arrowheads, spear points, scrapers, knives, bird points, and others with some very fine rare pieces. The pieces have been adhered to a foam background and are displayed in a 12 3/8"x16 3/8" glass top case (ready to be displayed in your collection). Center knife is 4 3/8"L.

2 - Navajo Sleeping Beauty Sterling Bear Claw Bracelet This is an excellent Navajo Native American Indian sterling silver & turquoise cuff by master silversmith Richard Begay. The piece shows a wonderful craftsmanship with rich floral and feather paisley over a solid sterling silver construction. The bracelet shows five exquisite Sleeping Beauty Turquoise mine stone with the center stone being a very large polished nugget. Each side shows a large trophy Black Bear Claw. The piece is signed, "RB" with a small hallmark below. The bracelet is in very good condition with normal wear. Measures (shipping) 3 3/8"W x 2 5/8"H x 2"D with a 7" inside circumference wrist size.

2a - Navajo Dry Creek Turquoise Nugget Gem Necklace This is an excellent collection of gem quality Dry Creek Turquoise polished nugget necklace from the Navajo Native American Indians. The early necklace features 21 large polished nugget turquoise stone strung on a strand of sinew. The stones show rich coloring with fantastic playful matrix and is truly an exquisite collection of rare gem quality stones. The necklace has a total weight of 1,737 carats and measures 12.75"L (28.25" total circumference).

3 - Early Masonic Knights Templar Sword and Scabbard This is a Masonic Knights Templar sword and scabbard. The sword carries the organization's motto "In hoc Signo Vinces" which means "in this sign you will conquer". The sword and scabbard are marked with the original owner's name and initials. It is also marked by the manufacturer "The Henderson Ames Co. Kalamazoo, Mich.". The sword is adorned with numerous crosses and crowns. The sword and scabbard are in good condition. The sword measures 36.5" long.

4 - Sioux Beaded Turtle Umbilical Fetish This is a Sioux Native American Indian beaded turtle umbilical fetish. The piece shows glass trade Venetian beads trade cotton sewn to Indian tanned hide with tin jingle cone feet. Umbilical cords were traditionally placed inside these fetishes, as a measure of good luck and health for the newborn, and hung from the cradle board. Later, they were often worn by the child or attached to clothing. They were used for protection from evil spirits and kept throughout life. This modern recreation shows a wonderful traditional design and construction. The piece shows good condition and measures 7"x6.5"x2.25".

5 - Kiowa Beaded Choker Necklace circa 1890-1900 This is a wonderful early Kiowa Native American Indian beaded choker necklace from circa 1890-1900. The piece shows a latice pattern fancy beaded design of 19th century glass trade seed beads in medium green, semi-transparent red white hearts, Cheyenne pink, black, greasy yellow (pony bead), and chalk white (pony bead). The piece shows overall very well preserved good condition with some signs of age. The necklace is "L and is displayed in a 8.25"x12.25" glass top display case.

6 - Navajo Sterling Silver & Turquoise Coral Cuff This is a Navajo old pawn sterling silver, turquoise and coral cuff bracelet. The cuff features a large medallion mounted with Blue Gem turquoise, coral and mother of pearl. The piece shows fantastic workmanship and is in very good condition. The center medallion measures 1.5" x 2.5" and the cuff measures 2.5" x 2.5" overall.

7 - Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Bracelet This is a Navajo sterling silver and turquoise bracelet. The bracelet features a double row of Nevada Blue turquoise cabochons set in sterling silver. The turquoise is beautifully framed by the silver rope accents. The bracelet is marked "925". It is in good condition. The bracelet measures 2" x 2.5" and is .75" wide.

8 - Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Squash Blossom This is a Navajo sterling silver and turquoise squash blossom. The necklace features the highly regarded Morenci Turquoise, renowned for its deep, rich blue color with pyrite matrix. The turquoise is set in sterling silver and shows wonderful workmanship. The squash blossom is in good condition. It measures 28" long.

9 - Plains Beaded Sheath With 19th C. Trade Knife This lot features a 19th century trade knife with a Plains Indian Native American beaded sheath. The knife dates to the 19th century and was forged. The sheath features four unique types of glass trade beads; iridescent, iridescent transparent red, iridescent transparent green, and corn yellow. The bead are done in a stunning design. The overall condition of the set is good for its age. Measures: 11" L x 2 1/4" W x 5 1/2" Blade Length

10 - Pre-Historic Indian Arrowheads Spears & Artifacts This is a collection of early Neolithic Pre-Historic like hafted obsidian and other stone artifacts. The pieces are from a large Monarch, Montana (Yearout) arrowhead and artifact collection. These are all believed to be Native American Original of the greater Western states (review pictures for origin). The collection includes arrowheads, spear points, hide scrappers, fishing points, and more. These have been secured in the delightful shadow box design. The lot features a total of 130 artifacts. Each display is 15" W x 19 3/4" H. Points from the Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado.

11 - Frank Cuts the Rope Original Ink Drawing This is an original ink drawing by Frank Cuts the Rope. Born and raised in Hays, Montana, Frank was a Montana artist known for his wildlife and Native American Art. This drawing shows two bull moose in a dueling pose. The piece shows incredible detail and artistic ability. The drawing is in good condition. It has been signed in the lower right corner by the artist. The drawing measures 13.75" x 22".

12 - Clarence Cuts the Rope Original Ink and Watercolor This is an original ink and watercolor painting by Clarence Basil Cuts the Rope. Clarence was born and raised in Hays, Montana, and was a self taught artist. This piece shows a Native American elder overlooking a buffalo skull as he recollects times when they were plentiful on the plains. The drawing is in good condition. It has been signed by the artist and is dated 1968. The drawing measures 15" x 18".

13 - Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Comb and Brush This is an antique Victorian sterling silver comb and brush. Each shows beautiful repousse workmanship and is marked "Sterling". The brush is monogrammed "E.M.M.". The antique brush and comb are in good condition. The brush measures 3.5" x 8.5".

14 - Blackfoot Native American Beaded Moccasins This is a pair of Blackfoot Native American Beaded moccasins. The moccasins are from the mid to late 20th century and show a wonderfully beaded design. The moccasins are in good overall condition. They do have some loose and missing beads as shown. They measure 5.5" wide and 11.5" long.

15 - Sioux Beaded Turtle Fetish This is a Sioux beaded tortoise fetish from the early to mid 20th century. The piece is made on tanned hide and features a beautifully beaded design using seed beads such as Dark Blue, Corn Yellow and Orange. The Sioux fetish is in good condition with no visible damage or bead loss. It measures 4" x 6".

16 - Plains Indian Carved Face Effigy Tobacco Pipe 19th This is a wonderfully hand carved burl wood tobacco pipe bowl from the Plain Native American Indians. The 19th century piece shows a unique carved face effigy design with mask like front and detailed teeth. The piece shows good condition for its age and displays very well on the custom display. The pipe is 3 1/8"L x 2 1/8"H x 1.5"W.

17 - Sioux Beaded Awl Case & Bone Awl w/ Ocher Dye The lot features a wonderful fully beaded Sioux Native American Indian awl case and carved bone awl. The case shows all glass trade seed beads on an Indian tanned hide construction with mineral ocher red dyes. The piece shows black, white, semi-transparent dark blue, and butterscotch yellow. The piece shows excellent construction and good condition. The awl is hand carved Buffalo bone. Awl is 4 3/8"L and the case is 14.5"L with fringe.

19 - Pre-Columbian T-Shaped Axe Bolivian with COA This is an authentic Pre-Columbian Historic "T" Shaped Axe head from the Highlands of Bolivia. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Bennett's Artifact Authentication. The piece is crafted of hardstone and shows wonderful well preserved condition. The axe head measures 6 7/16"x2 3/16". The piece is displayed in a 4.5"x5.5" glass top display box.

20 - Pre-Columbian Mayan Eccentric Obsidian 800-200BC This is an exceptional authentic Pre-Columbian Mayan Obsidian Eccentric Hafted artifact from Belize circa 800 B.C. - 200 B.C. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Bennett's Artifact Authentication. The piece is from the former collection of Jack Hranicky. The artifact measures 4"L x 1 1/8"W. This comes displayed in a glass top display box that is 4.5"x5.5".

20a - Pre-Columbian Mayan Macro Blade 800-200BC This is a wonderful Pre-Columbian Mayan Grey Chert Macro Blade dagger or knife from Belize circa 800B.C. - 200B.C. The rare grey chert blade knife shows a uniface construction and is in very well preserved good condition. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Bennett's Artifact Authentication. The dagger measures 7 9/16"L x 1 3/8"W and comes in a 6.25"x8.25".

21 - Pre-Historic Scottsbluff Spear Point Texas 10000BP This is an exceptional authentic Pre-Historic Neolithic Scottsbluff Spear Piont Paleo artifact from Southwest Texas circa 10000-8000 B.C. (B.P.). The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Ken Partain of Ken's Relics. The spear point shows a Blue/Tan Banded Chert material and measures 47mm x 23mm (approx. 2"L). The piece shows well preserved condition and is displayed in a glass top display case that is 4.5"x5.5". Exceptionally rare historic authentic artifact.

22 - Ancient Arrowhead Artifacts from South Dakota The lot features a collection of nineteen authentic Pre-Historic and Early arrowhead artifacts from the Slim Butte and Short Pine areas in South Dakota. The wonderful collection includes various very fine points showing very well preserved condition. The pieces range in material from Flint, Chert, and Quartz. The collection displays very well and is in a glass top 6.25"x8.25" case.

23 - Pre-Historic Jasper & Stone Paint Bowls S. Dakota This is an exceptional collection of two authentic Pre-Historic Neolithic Ancient paint bowls. Both bowls were recovered in South Dakota in the 1930's by Max Preston. The first shows an exquisite Jasper carved bowl recovered in Spink County South Dakota showing a shallow bowl with rich red/brown coloring and wonderful condition. The other is a stone paint bowl recovered in Campbell County South Dakota. Both pieces shows a well preserved condition and are truly museum quality. The owner would have ground up mineral paints such as ocher and crafted paints to adorn Buffalo Hides and bowls. Jasper bowl is . Stone Bowl is . Both are displayed in a glass top case that is 7.25"x8.25" and 2" thick.

24 - Hudson Bay Turtle Gorget Necklace 18th to 19th C. This is an original wonderfully hand worked piece by a master silversmith of the Montreal Hudson Bay Fur Trade Co. The pendant gorget shows a turtle effigy constructed of copper. The piece was believed to have been made circa 18th to 19th century and shows the following hallmarks: “RG”, walking lion pictorial hallmark, and “MONTREAL”. The necklace is strung on sinew with excellent red 18th century glass trade beads and copper trade beads. The pendant shows an inlaid round red trade bead along the center. The pendant is 5.5”L x 3”W. Necklace is 25.5”L strung.

25 - Hudson Bay Trade Brass Engraved Gorget Necklace The lot features a brass hand crafted gorget necklace pendant showing rocker engravings. The center of the gorget shows a floral design with three luna half moon effigy accents. The piece shows no hallmarks and is believed to be from the Northern Fur Traders to the Native American Indians (possibly imported by the Hudson Bay Fur Trade Co.). The piece is on a strand of Indian hide with one Russian Faceted glass trade bead in cobalt. The gorget is 5.75"H x 6 3/8"W. Necklace is 27"L strung. Review pictures for age.

26 - Cow Hide Leather Stitched Pictorial Rug This lot features a cow hide pictorial rug. The rug is leather stitched. The rug depicts a cowboy and cowgirl mid dance. The hide has excellent tones and appears in a general good condition. The piece is in a good overall condition. Measures: 57" W x 37" L

27 - Rare The Story of Kit Carson's Life and Adv. Book This lot features a rare copy of The Story of Kit Carson's Life and Adventures From Facts Narrated By Himself. Authored by Dewitt C. Peters, one of Carson's friends and comrades, the novel gives a inside look to one of American's most iconic adventures. Published by the Queen City Publishing co. in 1875. The book is in good condition for its age. Measures: 9" H x 6" W x 1 3/4" D

28 - Buck Custom 112 Swichblade Folding Knife This is a Buck Custom 112 folding switchblade knife. The blade is marked "Buck 112 n U.S.A." and features a beautiful wooden handle. A button near the end of the handle releases the blade. The release to fold the blade in is at the opposite end of the handle. The knife is in good condition. It measures 7.25" with a 2.75" blade.

28a - Vietnam Era Shrade Paratrooper Switchblade Knife This is a Vietnam era Shrade paratrooper switchblade knife. The knife is marked "Shrade Walden N.Y. U.S.A." and features a push button release on the handle to open the blade. The knife is in good condition. It measures 7.25" with a 2.75" blade.

29 - 22ct. Australian Boulder Opal Cabochon This is an Australian Boulder Opal cabochon. This opal was mined in the Outback of Australia. The opal shows wonderful diffraction with deep, rich colors of blue, red, and purple. The opal cabochon is in good condition. It measures .75" x .9" and weighs 22 carats.

29a - 56.5ct. Australian Boulder Opal Cabochon This is an Australian Boulder Opal cabochon. This opal was mined in the Outback of Australia. The opal shows wonderful diffraction with deep, rich colors of blue, red, and purple. The opal cabochon is in good condition. It measures 1.30" x .8" and weighs 56.5 carats.

30 - 28.5ct. Australian Fairy Sandstone Matrix Opal This is an Australian Fairy Sandstone Matrix Opal cabochon. The opal was mined in the Outback of Australia. The piece shows fantastic diffraction with deep rich colors of blue, green, orange and red. The opal is in good condition. Previous wholesale price for this piece was $1240. The cabochon measures 1" x 1.25" and weighs 28.5 carats.

30a - 22Ct. Australian Fairy Sandstone Matrix Opal This is an Australian Fairy Sandstone Matrix Opal cabochon. The opal was mined in the Outback of Australia. The piece shows fantastic diffraction with deep rich colors of blue, green, orange and red. The opal is in good condition. Previous wholesale price for this piece was $900. The cabochon measures .75" x 1.4" and weighs 22 carats.

31 - Antique Cast Iron Paperweight Collection This is a collection of eight cast iron paperweights. Each one shows significant age and is in good condition. The largest one measures 2" x 3.75".

32 - Antique Cast Iron Paperweight Collection This is a collection of four cast iron paperweights. Included are three frogs and a dog. One of the frogs is marked "NAC" and "P&C Co". All four paperweights are in good condition. The largest one measures 4.25" x 5.25".

33 - Turquoise Squash Blossom Bracelet & Earrings This is a silver and turquoise squash blossom, bracelet and earrings. This is a matched set with beautiful stone and excellent workmanship. They are all in good condition. The squash blossom naja measures 3.25" x 4" and the necklace is 24" long. Silver not tested.

34 - Signed Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Claw Cuff This is a Navajo sterling silver with turquoise and bear claw cuff. The piece was made by Richard Begay and is signed on the back. The cuff features a bear claw surrounded by four Sleeping Beauty Turquoise stones set in sterling silver. The cuff also shows wonderfully worked flowers, leaves and scrollwork. The Navajo cuff is in good condition. It measures 2" x 3" and is 2" wide.

35 - Rare Handmade Fully Beaded Yoruba Chief Totem This piece is hand made by the Yoruba Ancient tribal people of Nigeria and features tight beadwork with 1800's glass trade beads. The piece would have been placed in the Chief or high elders dwelling to bring peace to his kin. The totem shows the shape of a large lizard with a dancing woman on the inside. The piece is done on a heavy canvas base with the edge and back being an early trade clothe. The piece is from the first to second quarter of the 1900’s. This is in good condition and measures 60" long and 16" wide.

36 - Early Architect's Quarter Sawn Oak Drafting Desk This is an early 1900 quarter sawn oak excellent architect's drafting desk. The desk shows a unique and rare original authentic hardware of inset cups with drawer pulls. The desk has the very desirable panel construction and is truly a wonderful decorators piece with history. The piece is from a large immense Glacier National Park Montana estate. The desk is in good condition for its age. Measures: 49" W x 23" D x 33 1/2" H

37 - American Surety Company Enamel Sign This lot features a rare American Surety Co. enamel sign. The sign is a early advertisement for bonds form the American Surety Company. The sign states Surety on Bonds. The sign does have some chips and is in fair condition for its age. Measures: 15" W x 10" H

38 - 19th Century Leather Upholstered Carved Chair This is an excellent ornate leather upholstered carved wooden chair from the 19th century. The leather is attached with hammered brass tacks, the leather show use and light wear. Very unique piece. The chair has a wonderful spoon and relief carving accents along the entire piece. The chair is a very well crafted piece. Overall good condition with some wear. It measures 44" T x 19 1/2" D x 23 1/2" W. The arms of the chair are loose but still secure to the chair.

39 - Montgomery Ward Table Top Cream Separator Antique This lot features a Montgomery Ward Table Top Cream Separator Centrifuge. This separator is in good condition for its age, it does show use, but works flawlessly. The the separator come with a custom stand and original accessories. The separator is marked "74HM S3M-A". It measures 61" T x 12 1/2" W x 19" D

40 - McCormick-Deering Sign From Cascade Montana c.1923 This is an original McCormick-Deering Farm Machines Cascade Hardware & Implement Company sign from Cascade, Montana. The sign reads, “McCormick-Deering Farm Machines Cascade Hardware & Implement Company Cascade, Montana.” International Harvester Co. sold two parallel lines of equipment, McCormick and Deering, and due to a antitrust action the company was forced in 1923 to release the famous McCormick-Deering line of implements. This sign is from 1923-1940 from the Cascade Hardware & Implement Co. in Montana. The sign is in fair condition with some rust and wear as shown. The sign measures 9.75" x 27.5".

40a - Holmes Lumber Co. Sign from Laurel Montana This is an original advertising sign from Laurel, Montana. The sign reads "See T.R. Holmes Lumber Co. Building Material Coal Laurel". The sign is also marked in the lower right corner "The American Art Works, Coshocton, Ohio". This is an early embossed tin sign. It shows good overall condition with wear as shown. The sign measures 6" x 24".

41 - 1930's Eveready Flashlight Battery Sign This is an original Eveready Flashlight Battery sign from the 1930's. The sign is made on heavy cardboard stock and shows wonderful graphics. The sign is in fair condition with fading and some damage as shown. The sign measures 19.75" x 20".

42 - New Glacier National Park Pendleton Blanket This lot feature a New Glacier National Park Transportation Advertisement Blanket. This is blanket is new in its original zippered protective case with the tag still attached. It is in new condition. It measure 66" x 72"

43 - Malayer Persian Certified Fine Hand Woven Rug This hand woven Malayer design Persian rug comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is a ornately design rug that brings a certain warm feel to the room. The weave is tight and it has a leather backing along the edge. It is in good condition for its age. It was previously appraised at $5,333. It measures 64" W x 120" L

44 - Antique Marble Saloon Beer Tap This is an antique marble saloon beer tap. The piece features a brass base with a marble column and top. Each tap is made from brass as well. The saloon beer tap is in good overall condition. It measures 12.5" wide and 20.75" tall.

45 - Antique Wooden Spinning Wheel This is an antique wooden spinning wheel. The piece is made from solid wood and appears to be complete. The spinning wheel is in good condition. It measures 15" x 31.5" and is 23" tall.

46 - Navajo Turquoise & Discoidal Shell Necklace This is a Navajo turquoise nugget and discoidal shell necklace. The necklace features 11 large Cripple Creek Turquoise nuggets set apart by discoidal shell beads. The Navajo necklace is in good condition. It measures 14.5" long.

46a - Navajo Silver Steer Head Turquoise Bolo Tie This is a Navajo silver with turquoise and coral bolo tie. The bolo tie is believed to be made from sterling silver but has not been tested. It features a steer head surrounded by turquoise and coral. The tips of the bolo tie are carved bird fetishes. The Navajo bolo tie is in good condition. The back of the slide is missing the clasp. The slide measures 1.5" x 2".

48 - Kiowa Strike-A-Lite Beaded Bag 19th Century This is a wonderful Kiowa Native American Indian Strike-A-Lite beaded bag from the 19th to 20th century. The piece shows an Indian tanned hide construction with rich mineral ocher dyes of yellow and blue. The piece shows exquiste authentic 19th century glass trade beads in greasy yellow, black, semi-transparent sky blue, medium green, Hudson Bay red white hearts, chalk white, and various wound glass pony beads in padre sky blue and red. The excellent museum quality bag also shows a tin jingle cone accented fringe and fancy beaded top flap. The piece shows a very good well preserved condition. Measures 4"W x 9.25"L with an additional 12" top strap.

49 - Sioux Patriotic Flag Beaded Rifle Scabbard 19th C. This is an exquisite Sioux Native American Indian beaded rifle scabbard from circa 1890-1910. The piece is believed to possible be for a Winchester Model 1892 Trapper Carbine. The scabbard shows a parfleche construction with Indian tanned hide covering and long wonderful fringe. The front of the scabbard is fully beaded with early glass trade seed beads of chalk white, blue, and red. The flag shows a round thirteen star Betsy Ross Flag style with eight red and white strips. The piece shows well preserved museum quality condition and is truly a unique very well crafted piece. Measures overall 26"L x 5 7/8"W with an additional 14.5"L fringe.

The piece shows an early American Old West Cowboy holster and 1870-1880 leather ammo belt with "B.M. CO SOLID" German silver buckle. The 19th century holster is wonderfully adorned with an early red trade clothe border and glass trade seed beadwork in green, chalk white, corn yellow, blue, and semi-transparent red white hearts. The piece displays wonderful and is truly in well preserved museum quality condition. The holster is 9"L x 5.25"W. The belt is 38"L end to end.

62 - Arlington Dressel NJ Railroad Switch Lantern This lot features a antique Arlington Dressel NJ railroad switch lantern. The lantern has been pristinely preserved. It features three blue lenses and one red lens all of which appear intact with only small cracks with light surface damage . In the days before city lights and GPS, railroad lanterns served a very important purpose: they communicated signals at night between trains and stations. Sometimes, a timely lantern signal meant the difference between life and death. In one romanticized 19th-century story, for example, a 15-year-old girl named Kate Shelley saved the Fast Atlantic Express from a broken bridge by alerting a station agent, whose lantern signal to the train averted disaster. In the most basic sense, railroad lanterns have four components: a base, a wire guard (or cage), a chimney, and a glass globe housing the light source. The cage protects this globe from damage, but, even so, antique lanterns with intact globes are rare. This lantern is in good overall condition. Measures: 20" H x 10" W x 9" D

Adams & Westlake was founded in 1857 in Chicago, Illinois. In the beginning, the company manufactured and sold railroad supplies and hardware. With the opening of the American West and expansion of the railroads, the company prospered and diversified. “Adlake” became one of the largest suppliers of equipment to the transportation industry in the world. The lamp is marked Chicago most likely indicating it was produced before the company's move to Indiana in 1927. The lantern design also is comparable to some of the earliest models produced by Adlake. The lantern features four lens, two yellow, one blue, and one red. One of the yellow lenses has a significant crack. The rest of the lenses are in good condition with small amounts of surface wear. The overall condition of the piece is good for its age. Lewis Franklin Biggs was the Head of USGS in Washington DC, appointed by Teddy Roosevelt, circa 1910-1912. These were taken by Lewis Franklin Biggs during his survey of the West from the Mojave Desert to Mount Whitney in circa 1904-1912. The photographs include various original rare scenes from the Native American Indians including the only photograph known to exist depicting the White Deer River Dance of the Hopi Indians on Klaukol River, CA. These rare photographs are applied in two black photo books with many being noted by hand and dated below. The books are in good overall condition. Each one measures 6" x 7.75".

The chair is designed in a Danish Modern style much like the infamous James Eames/Herman Miller lounge chairs. It features wider dimensions and a sturdier construction. At its peak Selig operated five factories in Massachusetts and Canada producing high end Danish Modern style furniture. The chair does also include its original ottoman. 99 - Tokhiem Clock Face Gas Pump Husky This lot features a Tokhiem clock face gas pump Husky Model 800-100. Tokheim began in an Iowa hardware store more than a century ago. Merchant John J. Tokheim was searching for a way to improve the method of dispensing gasoline. In 1898, he invented ‘Tokheim Dome Oil Pump’ to do the job. The popularity of his invention, then, led to organizing the Tokheim Manufacturing Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1901. Currently the pump sits on a non-original husky tank. All The gas pump seem to be missing is a original tank. Perfect for restoration or as a decor piece. The piece appears to be in good condition for its age. Measures: 76" H x 18" Diameter

108 - Navajo Chinle Area Rug This lot features a Navajo Chinle area rug. This regional Navajo Rug style is named for the town of Chinle at the mouth of Canyon de Chelly. The Chinle style was developed by Mary Cabot Wheelwright and Cozy McSparron, a trader at Chinle. They sought to revive weaving using classic period designs with vegetal dyes. The rug has a striking diamond pattern. The overall condition of the piece is good for its age. Measures: 35" L x 17" W

110 - George H. Burham Ivory & Gold Cane Civil War 1860 This is a rare Ivory and Gold handled wood walking cane from George Henry Burnham (1832-1907). The cane dates to Civil War era 1860’s where George H. Burnham served with notability and honor and was from Providence, Rhode Island. This is the same George Henry Burnham that was issued the State of Rhode Island Civil War Recognition 1869 certificate listed previously. This piece is from the Anne Burnham estate, Anne was a direct descendant of Elias Boudinot President of the Continental Congress 1782-1783. George H. Burnham was also a high ranking General in the Masonic Order. Early piece of American History. The handle shows a rich solid Ivory handle with hand relief etched carved rich yellow or rose Gold accent band that is etched, “Geo. H. Burnham, Providence, R.I.”. The cane has a wood construction with metal rod reinforcement and shows very well preserved Museum quality condition. Measures 36 3/8”L with a 4.75”W x 1 1/8” thick handle. The Ivory in this piece is guaranteed to be over 150 years old and taken legally.

The rug is grantee 100% wool and was made by women of the Navajo tribe near the Blair's Dinnebite Trading Post. The rug is in good condition for its age. Measures: 27" W x 27" L

115 - 14K Gold and Diamond Tie Tack This is a 14K gold and diamond tie tack. The piece is marked "14K" on the back and features a beautiful round cut diamond. The diamond measures 4.57mm in diameter and is estimated to be approximately .35 carats. It shows excellent color and clarity. The tie tack is in good condition. The diamond does have a small chip on one side. It measures .6" x .6".

118 - Plains Fully Beaded Bag Chief's Bust Early 1900 The lot features a Plains Native American Indian fully beaded purse or bag from circa early to mid 20th century. The bag shows excellent 19th century glass trade seed beads in chalk white, pumkin yellow, black, greasy yellow, orange, semi-transparent red, sky blue, red, and more. The bag shows an early manufactured bag with wonderful beadwork covering the entire piece. Event the strap shows exquisite beadwork. The trade piece shows a Chief Portrait on one side and a floral design on the other. Overall very good condition for its age with some wear. The bag is 8.5"W x 24"L.

119 - Hudson Bay Columbia River Indian Dag Knife 19th C. This is a wonderful Hudson Bay Fur Trade Co. (possibly Quebec) Beaver Tail Dag Knife from the Columbia River Native American Indians. The piece is from circa early 19th century. The knife shows the iconic Beaver Tail Dag design and exquiste craftsmanship. The piece shows a double notch pattern on the blade with the top notch being squared off and the bottom notch being rounded. The blade is marked, "HB. The dag shows a wood handle with copper and iron spots. The blade also has a Revolutionary War Spontoon Blade like pattern. The piece has an unsharpened blade. The dag measures 13 5/8"L with a 7 1/8"L blade that is 1 7/8"W. Provenance: From a large private North West Montana collection.

120 - Plains Indian Quilled & Beaded Strike-A-Lite Bag This is an early 20th century Plains Native American Indian quilled and beaded Strike-A-Lite bag. The bag shows a wonderful Indian brain tanned hide construction with porcupine quillwork in white, brown, and orange. The bag also shows chalk white pony trade glass beads and tin jingle cones with red dyed Buffalo hair accents. The piece is well preserved and displays exquisitely. The top strap shows a braided hide construction. Believed to be an early 1900 museum quality piece. Bag measures 3.5"W x 14"L.

126 - Early W W Greener Police Riot Shotgun This is an early W.W. Greener Martini-Henry falling block action 12 gauge police riot gun. The shotgun was manufactured by W. W. Greener in the 1900's. The gun has a trap door or falling block action. W.W. Greener has long been one of the most trusted names in shotguns in Great Britian and was formed in 1829. The British Government ordered these Martini-Henry action shotguns to arm colonial police forces in Indian, Egypt and throughout Africa. The shotguns were only single shot and take unique shell with a rim around the center fire. The British Gov't held all the ammunition and in the event the colonies had taken the firearms they would run out of ammunition. The guns marking are worn but the stock appears to be in good condition for its age. The overall condition of the gun is good for its age. Measures: 42" L x 25 1/4" Barrel Length

127 - WWII Standard Products M1 Carbine w/ Shipping Box This is a WWII M1 Carbine manufactured by Standard Products. The carbine comes with the original shipping box from Interarmco (International Armament Corporation) with an original shipping label that indicates it was shipped to Montgomery Ward in Spokane, Washington. Interarmco was founded in 1953 and became the world's largest private arms dealer. The M1 is marked on the receiver "U.S. Carbine Cal. .30 M1". The front sight is marked "N". Just behind the front sight, the barrel is marked "Inland Mfg. Div. General Motors 3-44". The sling band is marked "IS". The wooden stock is marked "AAU" near the trigger guard. The pistol grip is marked with a "P". The Standard Products M1 Carbine is in good condition. It measures 35.75" long. Serial number 1998200.

128 - Weatherby Mark V .300 WBY Magnum Rifle & Scope This lot features a 1966 Weatherby Mark V in Weatherby .300 Weatherby Magnum and a Redfield 6x scope. This rifle features a walnut monte carlo straight grain walnut stock with skip-line checkering, a factory recoil pad, a contrasting grip cap and forend. This is a West German rifle and shows 90% plus original blue finish remaining, with wear on bolt handle and barrel(see photos). The stock is in good condition with only a few minor handling marks overall. The scope has clear optics. The barrel measures 24" and the overall length is 44 1/4." The serial number is P17770

132 - Hudson Bay Copper Cross Necklace 1800-1850 This is an etched and worked copper cross or bird effigy necklace traded by the Hudson Bay Fur Trading Co. to the Northern Plains Native American Indians. This shows the “HB” (Hudson Bay Co.) hallmark along with the fleur de lis, crowned standing lion, and dog hallmark. The piece is from circa 1800-1850 and is on a trade beads strand from the Northern Plains Indians. The trade beads are all 18th to 19th century glass beads including green and red sea glass or sand cast beads along with bright green faceted beads. The pendant is made of solid copper with an etched design. It shows good condition. The pendant measures 4" x 4.5" and the necklace measures 32" long.

The photo measures 8.25" x 13.25" and the frame measures 14.5" x 18.75".

135 - Coggshall Miles City Leather Scabbard 1900-1909 This is an original Charles E. Coggshall leather scabbard made in Miles City, Montana from 1900-1909. After dissolving his partnership with Al Furstnow in 1899, Coggshall started his own saddle shop in Miles City. In 1909, he partnered with two of his employees to form Miles City Saddlery. This scabbard is marked on both sides "C.E. Cogshall Miles City, Mont.". The piece is in good overall condition. It has been repaired and shows some loose stitching. The scabbard measures 6.5" x 30".

The Yei Navajo rugs begin in the Northwest corner of the reservation, in the early part of the 20 century Developed by Will Evans Trader and owner of the Shiprock trading Company. In these weavings the male Yei have round heads & the female Yei have square heads. The Lukachukai area is west and south of the Lukachuka mountains from Shiprock. The Yei and Yeibichai weavings of this area are usually of a larger size, less colorful, made with hand spun wool and the backgrounds are much darker that in the Shiprock Yeis & Yeibichais. The rug is in good condition for its age. Measures: 62" L x 32" W

139 - Early Navajo Wide Ruins Rug This lot features an early Navajo Wide Ruins region rug.The Wide Ruins Navajo rugs borrow from the Chinle rug designs but tend to be much more intricate in design with more colors. This style of weaving uses a bead stitch of alternating weft colors called railroad tracks in some of the bands. 141 - 1813-1890 History of the Flathead Indians Book This is a RARE c.1890 publication of "1813-1890 History of the Flathead Indians; Their Ways and Hunts" by Major Peter Ronan. Major Ronan was an Indian agent on the Flathead Agency in the late 1800's. The book shows good overall condition. It measures 6.25" x 9.25".

142 - 1889 Constitution of the State of Montana This is an 1889 publication of the "Constitution of the State of Montana". These very early articles adopted by the Constitutional Convention are the framework by which Montana has been built upon. This is an important historical archive. The piece was published by Independent Publishing Co. of Helena, Montana. The book is complete and shows good condition. It measures 5.25" x 8".

143 - " Dolan" 1930s Racehorse Painting by S.R. Wright This lot features a 1930s original oil painting of "Dolan" as a young race horse. The painting is signed by the artist S.R. Wright. The painting is set in a stunning landscape scene. S. R. Wright was know throughout the 1930s for his landscape painting with horse. It is rare to find one of his works with a race horse. 145 - Lewistown Brothel Red Light District Hanging Lamp This lot features a Lewiston brothel red light district hanging kerosene lamp. The lamp dates to the third and fourth quarters of the 19th century and has been stunningly preserved. It was originally hung in a Lewistown brothel. The lamp has a brilliant red shade with brass fittings and hanging prisms. This lamp does not feature a lowering mechanism. Lewistown was the site of a gold rush when gold was discovered in the nearby Judith Mountains in 1880. The lamp is in good condition for its age. Measures:37" H x 15" Diameter

146 - Earl Heikka (1910-1941) Original Bronze Sculpture This is an original Earl E. Heikka (1910-1941) bronze sculpture. The piece is titled "Blackfoot Chief" and shows the bust of the chief with incredibly fine detail. Heikka was a Great Falls, Montana artist and is considered a contemporary of Charles M. Russell. Born in 1910, he gathered the attention of prominent figures and did commissions for Marshall Field, Gary Cooper, and Con Kelley. His works were featured in an exhibition in Los Angeles in 1931 and the 1933 Chicago World's Fair. Tragically, Heikka took his own life in 1941, thus ending a talented career. This bronze is in very good condition. It has been signed "E. Heikka" and is numbered 10/35. A truly fantastic piece of Montana art history from from the talents of Earl Erik Heikka. The piece measures 7" x 7" and is 12.25" tall.

147 - Kiowa Buffalo Hair Wrapped Coup Staff c. 1850-1890 This is a wonderful authentic original Northern Oklahoma Kiowa Native American Indian Coup Staff from the mid to late 19th century. The piece shows a wood construction with Buffalo Bison hide fur wrappings, a Buffalo Hide drop, and a sinew strand along the staff. The staff is truly and excellent museum quality piece and shows overall good condition (staff head is lose). The staff would have been used by one of the Kiowa Warriors on horse back to practice warfare. The end would have been used to bring down the other opponent. Provenance: From a large private museum collection in Missouri, the same collection as the Northern Plains Wolf Scout cap that we sold for $4,165 at our 1/16/16 auction. 148 - Great Lakes Indian Carved Human Face Bow 19th C. This is an excellent important Great Lakes Woodlands Native American Indian carved human face effigy bow from the 19th century. The piece shows oval shaped human face carvings on each end. John Baldwin referred to a similar bow ("so-called medicine bow...") in his book bows Arrows & Quivers of the American Frontier on page 22. The piece is truly a museum quality early Native American bow and shows well preserved good condition. Provenance: From a large private Michigan Native American artifact collection. 149 - Nez Perce Spontoon & Gunstock War Club 19th C. This is an excellent Nez Perce Native American Indian Gunstock & Spontoon War Club from the mid to late 19th century. The highly decorated piece shows immense detail and quality with a Revolutionary War era rifle stock construction. The club also has a Revolutionary War (1775-1783) Colonial American Spontoon blade (the hand forged spike head was used during the Revolutionary War by the Americans in trench defense against charging British infantry or cavalry). The spontoon blade shows a triple or three notched pattern and is held into place with an iron spot. The Gunstock handle shows a red mineral dye with heart and tepee brass trade tack effigies with a framed brass track end. The top of the war club shows brass trade tacks framing the burnt tepee pattern with various drawn accents. This is possibly one of the finest crafted Nez Perce 19th Century Spontoon Gunstock war club made available for private purchase as most war clubs of this quality are in private collections or museum displays. The piece was owned by Saul Sol Webb a Warrior from the Nez Perce in the late 19th century to early 20th century and was handed down through his family. A small buckskin hide suspension with some brass trade tacks glorify the handle. Provenance: The war club was purchased directly from Jimmy Webb, son of Sol Webb, of Pendleton, Oregon and was also part of the same collection of Bessie Cawapoo daughter of Like Cawapoo, Chief of the Nez Perce. This tomahawk is published and photographed on the Trade Axe and Tomahawk Collectors Association website. Head has a unique spontoon spear head style European influence design. Rare important Indian artifact. Measures overall 28.25”L x 14”W with a 6.5”L x 1.75”W spontoon blade.

150 - Comanche Polychrome Painted War Club c. 1850-1890 This is an exceptional authentic massive mid to late 19th century war club from the Comanche Southern Plains Native American Indians. The piece shows a wonderful rare style with very few authentic examples being seen in private collections. The war club shows a large size with long mesquite wood haft and was most likely intended for use on horse back and would have been a devastating weapon. The piece shows a stone war club head with Buffalo Indian tanned hide wrapping having excelent polychrome mineral painted designs. The haft shows a polychrome painted rawhide wrapping with 102 early brass covered iron trade tacks. The club shows a kill trophy along the end of the haft showing a human molar tooth inlaid. The end also shows a wrist strap made of Indian tanned hide with a braided quirt like end and the original tag recovered with the piece that reads, "Comanche War Club Fort Sill Ok. (Oklahoma) Terr. (Territory)." Exceptionally rare piece shows museum quality condition and is truly one of the finest Comanche war clubs made available for sale. Provenance: From a large private museum Michigan Native American Artifact Collection, the same collection as the various Wolf Scout pieces. Measures overall 27.5"L with additional 4" fringe along the top and a 12" wrist strap at the end. The head is 5"x3".

160 - Carcano Modello Italy Military Rifle 7.35 mm This lot features a Carcano Modello Rifel in 7.35mm round. Carcano is the frequently used name for a series of Italian bolt-action, magazine-fed, repeating military rifles and carbines. Introduced in 1891, this rifle was chambered for the rimless 6.5×52mm Carcano cartridge. It was developed by the chief technician Salvatore Carcano at the Turin Army Arsenal in 1890 and called the Modello 91 or simply M91. Successively replacing the previous Vetterli-Vitali rifles and carbines in 10.35×47mm, it was produced from 1892 to 1945. The M91 was used in both rifle (fucile) and carbine (moschetto) form by most Italian troops during the First World War and by Italian and some German forces during the Second World War. The rifle was also used during the Winter War by Finland, and again by regular and irregular forces in Syria, Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria during various postwar conflicts in those countries. The bolt action appears to be missing a piece, however the pin does fire. The rifle is in fair condition for its age. Measures: 42" L

This regional style was started in 1914 by George Bloomfield and Ed Davis at the Toadlena and Two Grey Hills Trading Post. These Navajo rugs are characterized by natural browns, tan, gray, ivory, white, and black. The patterns usually have a central diamond motif and intricate patterns. The Two Grey Hills weavings are noted for their high quality. The trading post is located in northwest New Mexico, south of Shiprock and northeast of the Crystal area. Apart from being more economical than previous methods of feeding, this aided the animal's digestion and prevented animals from rejecting any part of their food. the box is in good condition and all markings are clear. The Mills slot machine is in good condition. It measures 15" x 16" and is 25.75" tall.

176 - Native American Arrowhead & Tomahawk Display This is a Native American arrowhead and tomahawk display. The display features an array of knapped arrowheads. The center of the display has a large stone axe flanked by two smaller stone axes. The stone tools are made from deer and elk horn and rawhide. Each one features handmade beadwork. Additionally, the large axe has feathers and beaver hide. The display is encased in a shadowbox with a beautifully embossed frame. The display and its contents are in good condition. The piece measures 30" x 32.5". Age and authenticity of the artifacts is unknown.

177 - Original Karl Moon Native American Photograph This is an original Karl Moon Native American photograph. The photo shows an Indian with a bow and arrow as he stalks a buffalo. The photograph is marked in the lower right corner "© 1914 Karl Moon" and comes in the original period oak frame. The photograph is in good condition and is rare to find in this large size. The photograph measures 13" x 16.5" and the frame measures 18" x 21.5".

178 - Sioux Parfleche Sheath & Jukescoul Bowie Knife The lot features a Sioux Native American Indian polychrome parfleche knife sheath with a large Jukescoul Hudson Bay Camp Bowie Knife. The knife is marked, "NONXXL Jukescoul Son & Co Sheffield" and was known as the Hudson Bay Co. Fur Trade Camp Bowie Knife. The knife shows a heavy construction with Buffalo Bison Horn grips and Brass/Copper spots and hilt. This pattern of Camp Bowie Knife was imported by the Hudson Bay Co. and was distributed by various fur traders in the early 19th century, approximately circa 1840's. The knife shows some rust spots, but overall in good condition. The Bowie Knife is 13 5/8"L with a 9"L x 2 1/8"W blade. Sheath is 3.75"W x 16.25"L (with strap). Together is 14 3/8"L.

179 - North West Co. Copper Fish Necklace 18th-19th C. This is a North West Company of Montreal, Quebec, Canada copper fish effigy gorget pendant from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The piece shows amber and copper beads restrung on a metal wire. North West Co. was the major competitor and bitter rival of the Hudson Bay Fur Trading Co. NWC was forced to merge with HBC by the British Government in 1821 due to their violent competition with several minor armed skirmishes breaking out. The piece pre-dates the merger and is an excellent museum quality early Northern Plains Native American Indian artifact. The fish effigy shows clear, “MONTREAL”, “NWC (in a heart), and two other pictorial hallmarks. The piece is marked on the obverse and reverse. The effigy pendant is 4.25”L x 1.75”W. Necklace overall is 30”L strung.

180 - Hudson Bay Montreal Silver Cross 1780-1840 This is an original wonderfully hand worked piece by a master silversmith of the Montreal Hudson Bay Fur Trade Co. The piece was believed to have been made circa 1780-1840 and shows the following hallmarks: “P.H”, “HB (with beaver above)”, walking lion pictorial hallmark, the crown a ring an a cross, and “MONTREAL”. The necklace is strung on sinew with excellent Russian Faceted 18th century glass trade beads and copper trade beads. The cross shows an inlaid hafted Russian Faceted bead along the center and a heart cutout below. The cross is 4.75”L x 3”W. Necklace is 27”L strung.

The cannon is made from bronze and features ornate cast accents including two sea serpents on top. The lantaka cannon is in good condition. It measures 3.5" in diameter and is 32.5" long.

190 - Hmong Chinese Monkey Sniper Rifle CIA Bring Back This is an exceedingly rare original Hmong Chinese monkey rifle sniper rifle that was brought back to the USA from Vietnam by a CIA operative. The rifle is a muzzle loading flintlock musket. The rifle was used by the Hmong tribesmen led by the CIA against Communist forces in the 1950’s. The rifle shows considerable age and was most likely handed down through generations. This was originally used as a monkey rifle as monkey is a great delicacy in the Hmong culture. The piece shows a blacksmith barrel and flint lock with a rare carved full wood stock. The barrel is held with the stock using metal wraps. The piece comes with the Hmong powder horn. Exact age of the piece is unknown, but could be from as early as the 18th century. Overall length 53".

199 - Northern Plains Wolf Scout Mittens 19th-20th C. This is a set of Northern Plains Native American Indian war party scout wolf mittens from circa 19th to 20th century. The gloves or mittens show a Wolf fur and hide construction with each being made from the head and neck area of the hide. The end of each shows a mouth area with chalk white 19th century glass trade beads representing the teeth and the eye area showing iridescent faceted seed beads and copper seed beads for the eyes. The mittens are lined inside with wolf fur and the palm area shows a Caribou hide wrap. Provenance: From a private museum collection in Missouri and from the same collection as the Wolf Scout Hat that we sold on 1/16/16 for $4,165. The hide shows some fur loss and cracking indicative of age. Each mitten is 10.75”L x 7.5”W.

207 - W.S. Phillips El Comancho Book & Sketch This is a signed first edition publication of "Old Timer's Tale" by W.S. Phillips who is also known as "El Comancho". Phillips was a hunter for a survey crew working to locate routes for the Burlington Railroad in Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming. Later in life, he was an editor for Outdoor Life magazine. He also wrote numerous books about his adventures. This book is a RARE first edition and is accompanied by a sketch done by El Comancho. The book and sketch are in good condition. The sketch measures 6.75" x 10.5".

210 - Paolo Soleri Bronze Bell Sculpture This is an original bronze bell sculpture by Paolo Soleri. Soleri was an accomplished Italian architect and designer whose works have received numerous awards and well deserved accolades. A fellowship with Frank Lloyd Wright in the mid 1940's accelerated his career and international recognition. This piece is made from cast aluminum and features the wonderful bronze bell. The sculpture is an early piece done by Soleri in the 1960's to 1970's. It is in good condition. The piece measures 49" long overall.

There is a 3.5" tear at the top and some wear as shown. The poster measures 28" x 42".

The Bowes sign is in good overall condition. There is some minor rust and wear mostly around the edge as shown. The sign measures 16.5" in diameter.

216 - Smith & Wesson Model 650 .22 Mag Revolver This lot features a a Smith & Wesson Model 650 .22 Mag revolver with extra .22 Long Rifle Cylinder. The Revolver is in good condition for its age, 1983-1988. Here is Smith & Wesson’s .22 M.R.F. Service Kit Gun Stainless, numbered model 650. Already rare, this 650 is even rarer by virtue of its included Long Rifle Cylinder. It only had six years of production. The Long Rifle cylinder was custom factory special order, probably manufactured in the early 1990s. Construction is stainless steel frame, barrel, and cylinder assembly, with satin chrome trigger and hammer, and steel internal parts. Barrel is 3 inch heavy one piece with exposed cylinder rod. Bore is 1: 18.75 six groove right hand rifling. Sights are 1/10 ounce barrel integral serrated front, with matte finish solid rib section, and frame integral fixed notch rear. Cylinders are both recessed or counterbored rear face, capacity of six rounds of .22 Winchester Magnum or .22 Winchester Rimfire ammunition in the plain faced cylinder; and six rounds of .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle in the cylinder that bears the V letter factory marking on its rear face. Magnum revolvers like this are NOT designed for .22 Long Rifle ammunition. Frame is small J size, with round butt smooth surface grip frame. Trigger is smooth face .312 combat type, with .265 serrated spur hammer, both satin chrome finish steel. Ignition is floating firing pin, with pinned in plate. Weight empty is 23 1/16 ounces, with center of gravity at the cylinder stop. Overall length is 7 1/2 inches, height of 4 1/2 inches, and a cylinder thickness of 1.3 inches. Double action trigger pull measures at 16 pounds, with an exceptionally light 2 1/4 pound single action pull and no felt creep. Hammer travels 5 to 10 degrees after the cylinder times in all six positions; fully 35 degree hammer travel on single action. Lateral cylinder play with the trigger relaxed is minimal, about 1mm; but with the trigger fully depressed there is no lateral play whatsoever. Cylinder face to forcing cone gap is a tight .005. Blast effect to the under side of the frame top strap directly above the barrel’s forcing cone is minimal, a thin shallow etchy line that traverses 80% of the top strap. Bore, chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean. Surface detractions are minimal, principally cylinder rotation marking and faint amounts of edge buffing. This is a rare revolver, even more so with both cylinders. Comes with Uncle Mike size 1 holster

The Engraved Historic Era Pipe shows a star pattern engraving and was found by Neal Lundquist on his farm in Kingsbury, South Dakota. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Bennett's Artifact Authentication. The piece shows wonderful condition and is truly an excellent museum quality piece. Measures 7 15/16"L x 1 5/8"W x 1.5"H and comes in a 8.25"x12.25" glass top shadow box that is 2 1/8" thick.

219 - Northern Plains War Club c. 1800-1900 w/ COA The lot features an authentic Northern Plains pipestone catlinite war club head from circa 1800-1900 A.D. The piece shows overall good condition with a vertical notch along the center and four decorative notches along the top. The piece measures 4 5/8”L x 1.75”W x 1.75”D.

220 - American Weapons Corp. Frontier Model Derringer This is an American Weapons Corporation Frontier Model Derringer .22 pistol. The pistol features a nickel finish and fires a .22 long rifle cartridge. The pistol also has checkered grips marked "HH". The pistol is in good condition. It measures 3.25" x 5".

221 - 1885 Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant First Edition This is a first edition 1885 set of “Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant” Volume I & Volume II. The piece was published in 1885-1886 by Charles L. Webster & Company New York. The piece shows green clothe covers with choice, bold gold stamped lettering and seal. The book is a fascinating read with a rare fold-out of the terms of surrender given to Robert E. Lee. Volume I shows an excellent etching of Grant as a young soldier with Volume II having a portrait of the more known image of President U.S. Grant. These memoirs were written from the fall of 1884 and completed four days before his death July 23, 1885. The set was published by Grant’s friend, Samuel Clemmons (Mark Twain) under the alias of his nephew, Charles L. Webster. This is a wonderful excellent quality set and a must own for any Civil War enthusiast. Cover shows some slight wear, but overall a very rare and desirable well preserved set. Volume I, after the title page, has what appears to be a hand written note by Grant, possibly etching or print. Together these measures 6.5"x9 3/8" and each is 1.75" thick.

222 - Advertising Tin Collection This is an advertising tin collection. Included are five Dupont Blasting Cap tins, two Bell's Wax Vestas, a Faber Castell tin and Humo Cigar tin. All the tins are in good condition. The largest one measures 5.5" x 8.5" x 2.5".

223 - Navajo Yei Shiprock Area Rug This lot features a Navajo Yei rug form the Shiprock area. The Yei Navajo rugs begin in the Northwest corner of the reservation, in the early part of the 20 century Developed by Will Evans Trader and owner of the Shiprock trading Company. Yei are religious deities taken from the Navajo Sand paintings. But these weavings do not have any religious significance. In these weavings the male Yei have round heads & the female Yei have square heads. The Shiprock Red Rock Yei & Yeibichai weavings our distinguished from the Lukachukai ones by usually having a white or gray light colored background. In these weavings the Figures and quite colorful, using numerous different bright colors. The rug appears to be in good condition for its age. Measures: 32 1/2" L x 30 1/2" W

224 - Stag Horn European Mount This is a stag horn European mount. The horns have been mounted to a solid wood plaque. They are in good condition with a deep, rich color. The piece measures 20.5" wide and 27" tall.

226 - Navajo Silver and Turquoise Belt Buckle This is a Navajo silver and turquoise belt buckle. The buckle is believed to be sterling silver, but has not been tested. The buckle features a beautifully crafted steer skull in the center surrounded by feathers and scrollwork. The buckle also has impressive turquoise and coral accents. The Navajo belt buckle is in good condition. It measures 2.5" x 3.5".

227 - Pre-Historic Indian Arrowheads Spears & Artifacts This is a collection of early Neolithic Pre-Historic like hafted obsidian and other stone artifacts. The pieces are from a large Monarch, Montana (Yearout) arrowhead and artifact collection. These are all believed to be Native American Original of the greater Western states (review pictures for origin). The collection includes arrowheads. These have been secured in the delightful shadow box design. The lot features a total of 72 artifacts. Each display is 14 1/2" W x 8" H. Points from the Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, North Dakota, South Dakota, Colorado.

228 - Southern Plains Child's Bow & Arrow c. 1930 This is a wonderful early example of a Southern Plains Native American Indian created child's bow and arrow purchased from a reservation in circa 1930-1940. The piece shows a bent wood construction with braided sinew rawhide sting and is wrapped in parfleche showing various excellent pictorial painted symbols. The bow also shows a harness leather grip with fringe. The arrow shows dyed turkey feather fletching sinew wrappings and a small hafted obsidian bird arrowhead artifact. The arrow is 18 7/8"L. The bow is 34.25"L x 4.5"W.

228a - Sioux Beaded Sheath & Russell Green River Skinner The lot features a wonderful Sioux Native American Indian beaded sheath with an 1850-1880 J. Russell & Co. Green River Works Buffalo Skinner Knife. The knife shows the crisp hallmark with the diamond symbol attributed to this rare knife. The 19th century shows the curved Buffalo Skinner design with solid wood handle. The sheath shows all glass trade seed beadwork in chalk white, semi-transparent sky blue white hearts, dark blue, medium green, lavender, semi-transparent greasy yellow, and red. The sheath is constructed on Indian tanned hide with long fringe. The knife is 10 5/8"L. The sheath is 17"L with top strap.

229 - Sioux Beaded & Fringed Tomahawk Drop This is a Sioux Native American Indian beaded Tomahawk War Club drop. The drop shows an Indian Tanned hide construction with 19th century navy and red trade clothe and glass trade seed beads in chalk white, red white hearts, Cheyenne pink, and sky blue. The drop also shows a wonderful blue early glass trade bead on the top strap. The piece displays very well and would accent any tomahawk. The drop measures 12.5"L x 3.25"W.

230 - Plains Indian Catlinite War Club Buffalo Drop 1900 This is a Plains Native American Indian war club with catlinite pipestone head on an Indian tanned Buffalo hide wrapped haft. The early 20th century piece shows overall good condition. The war club has a red ocher dyed Buffalo Bison hair drop. Measures overall 28.5"L with a 2 1/8"H x 4"W x 2"D head.

233 - Sitting Bull and the Indian War Book 1st Edition This is an original rare first edition of "Sitting Bull and the Indian War" by W. Fletcher Johnson. The front cover is exquisite showing a portrait of Sitting Bull with an Indian War scene below and Major General Miles, U.S. Deputy Bartlett. Marked on the cover Ghost Dance. This book was printed in 1891. It tells the story of Sitting Bull and his tragic death. The book contains several illustrations as well. The book is in good to very good condition with a fantastic designed cover. It measures 5.5" x 8.

234 - Hammer Brand Toothpick Switchblade c.1950's RARE This is a rare original 1950's Hammer Brand (Imperial) switchblade (switch blade) push button knife, knick-named the "Toothpick". The piece shows the rare grey/silver/yellow marble like celluloid scales or grips. Marked Hammer Brand USA with logo and serial number on other side. Rare piece. Exceedingly rare 1940-1950's automatic knife. Measures 6 1/8"L when open and 3.5"L when closed. Has push button and lock. Works well intermittently.

235 - Sioux Beaded Tobacco Pouch with Red Ocher Dye This is a Sioux Native American Indian beaded Tobacco pouch or bag. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with rich red ocher dye finish and excellent glass trade seed beads in semi-transparent sky blue, semi-transparent amber, and semi-transparent violet. The bottom fringe of the pouch shows four 19th century glass trade beads of millefiori like, skunk red/white, and others. The piece is excellently crafted and measures 15.25"L (with top strap) x 2 5/8"W.

236 - John Wayne Model 92 .44-40 Lever Action Rifle This is a replica model of John Wayne's Model 92 .40-40 lever action rifle. The rifle was made by the Franklin Mint and is an exact replica of the original rifle that was in John Wayne's personal collection. The rifle has a working lever and trigger mechanism and features wonderfully engraved receiver with gold toned accents throughout. A medal bearing the image of John Wayne has been inlaid in the butt stock. A custom made reclaimed wood frame has been built by the seller as an upgrade from the original frame that came with the gun. A brass plaque on the frame reads "The John Wayne 1892 Model .44-40 Rifle". The rifle and frame are in good condition. The frame measures 13.75" x 44.75".

Locks such as this one were used to secure shipping containers, warehouses, shops, etc. seized by the authorities during Prohibition. The lock was made by Hurd and is marked "B.I.R.". The key and lock are both marked "A8591". The lock is in good overall condition. It measures 2" x 3.25".

342a - Prohibition Era Bureau of Industrial Alcohol Lock This is an original lock and key used by the Bureau of Industrial Alcohol. These locks were used by the U.S Government since prohibition to secure warehouses, containers, and shipments of alcohol. A paper seal was inserted into the lock and was used to determine if the lock had been unlocked or tampered with. The lock is made from solid brass and is marked "U.S. B.I.A." and "Slaymaker Lanc. Pa.". The lock comes with the original key. The lock and key have matching numbers and the key does work to open the lock. The lock and key are in good condition. The lock measures 2.5" x 4".

364 - 1874 Model U.S. Cavalry McClellan Saddle This lot features a 1874 model U.S. Cavalry McClellan saddle. This saddle is a wonderful example of a McClellan saddle. This type of cavalry saddle was developed by Army Major General George B. McClellan & was adopted by the US War Department in 1859. It remained standard issue in various models for the remaining history of the horse cavalry, which was dismounted in WWII (1940's). They were used by the mounted cavalry in the Indian Wars, Spanish War, Civil War, WWI, & WWII. It's still used today by ceremonial mounted units in the US Army. The leather and brass hardware are all where they should be, and the saddle itself is in good condition. This is a faithful modern recreation of U.S. military history. Child (1857–1931) was an entrepreneur who managed development and ranching companies in southern Montana. He was most notable as a founder and longtime president of the Yellowstone Park Company, which provided accommodation and transportation to visitors to Yellowstone National Park from 1892 to 1980. 424 - Butte Montana Miners Carbide Lamp & Carbide Can This lot features a Butte Montana miners carbide lamp and trademarked Union Carbide carbide can. Carbide lamps, or acetylene gas lamps, are simple lamps that produce and burn acetylene (C2H2) which is created by the reaction of calcium carbide (CaC2) with water. Acetylene gas lamps were used to illuminate buildings, as lighthouse beacons, and as headlights on motor-cars and bicycles. Portable acetylene gas lamps, worn on the hat or carried by hand, were widely used in mining in the early twentieth century. The lamp is marked Universal Lamp Co. Simmons and Company in created 1871 and then incorporated as Simmons Hardware Company in 1874. One of there superior salesman from Texas named William Enders, he later became the companies vice president. During his years as salesmen a line of tools was named after him including the oak leaf cutter. The knife is in good condition for its age. Measures: 14" L x 2 1/4" H x 1 1/4" W

It is a Slim Jim design of thick russet leather with a toe plug and the military style flap and brass closure. The brass closure, toe plug, and top flap have been lost and the stitching along the leather has come lose. This is still a timeless piece perfect for restoration. The piece also features brass jingle bells and fur strips sewn into the top strap. The beadwork shows various colors such as greasy yellow, sky blue, pink, white, and semi-transparent red.
