Model 1851 US Percussion Cadet Musket, Dated 1852
Estimate: $800 - $1,200
Description: Model 1851 US Percussion Cadet Musket, Dated 1852 Only 2,840 made. It is the same model that went to Virginia Military Institute VMI. Gun is light to medium grey with browning barrel bands. Shows little to no pitting. Barrel marked "VP eagle" and 1852 on tang. "33" stamped on buttplate with brass diamond inlaid at tang and marked "47". Stock is very good with moderate bruising and scratches. Correct ramrod. Cartouche on stock present but illegible. In good working order. 40" barrel; 55" overall.
