British Flintlock Dragoon Pistol

Description: Estimate: $950 - 1400 Consignor notes refer to this pistol as a Dublin Castle Light Dragoon Pistol, circa 1760-70. There are no maker markings on the pistol. There are two English proofs stamped on top of the barrel. The pistol has brass furniture and a brass tipped wooden ramrod. Mounted with a smooth stock with a flared butt. BBL: 9 1/4 inch round Stock: walnut Gauge: 65 Finish: bright Grips: Serial Number: nsn Condition: Good. The barrel has a smooth dark patina showing minor pitting along the left side. The hammer and lock have a mottled gray patina. The brass has a smooth patina. The repaired stock is also good with a minor crack near the side plate, a couple missing minor chips and some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
