I have been in the auction business for over 30 years. I attended Nashville Auction School in 1974 and did my apprentice work under John Paul Lewis in Cleveland, TN. I began a weekly retail auction on Friday nights in Decatur, TN. After a year I expanded to a second sale on Saturday night in Cleveland, TN. After about 4 years, I left the retail auction business and became a contract auctioneer. I have worked with many auction companies in different kinds of auctions, including antiques, farm machinery, bankruptcy, and county surplus sales, to mention just a few.
