After a short period of selling lots on a salary basis in the early 70s, Steve attended real estate school and was licensed by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. Specializing in new home sales for a number of years, he purchased and managed a real estate franchise in south Oklahoma City and held positions on several boards. In the mid 80s he worked for auction companies selling for the FDIC and RTC, and began working for Coldwell Banker as a REO specialist. Late in the 80s and early 90s he continued his REO work with Prudential Properties of Oklahoma and found a continued interest in the auction method of marketing. Organizing auctions for fundraisers became a part of his career and in the 90s he attended an auction school to become a certified auctioneer. Mann Real Estate has been in the Real Estate business since the early 70s and has since been a force in the Auction Industry coordinating 30 to 50 commercial auctions each year. In 2004 Steve entered the State Champion Auctioneer Contest in Oklahoma City and won!! He is officially the 2004 State Champion Auctioneer! In 2003 Steve entered the State Champion Auctioneer Contest and became the Oklahoma State Reserve Champion
