Richard F. Kruse is the president of Columbus, Ohio based Gryphon USA, Ltd., the parent company of United Country Gryphon Realty & Auction Group.
Mr. Kruse manages the day to day operations of Gryphon’s asset management, real estate brokerage, auction and online auction subsidiaries. While his firm practices in many areas, Mr. Kruse’s personal engagements primarily focus on the wind down and liquidation of single assets, corporate divisions or entire companies. Mr. Kruse has acted in the capacity of an asset purchaser in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcies, represented the interests of borrowers and creditors as broker, property manager, auctioneer and liquidator and held engagements as court appointed receiver in both liquidating and operating scenarios. He holds auctioneer licenses in Ohio and other states and has designations as an appraiser with focus on commercial equipment. Mr. Kruse has been involved in the real estate industry since 1989 as an investor in residential and commercial properties, has been a licensed real estate sales agent in multiple states since 1996 and has been building residential properties since 2002. Mr. Kruse began his full time career in the liquidation industry in 1996. He is a member of National and Ohio Associations of Realtors, National Auctioneers Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and Turnaround Management Association, where he sits on the board of the Ohio Chapter. He has been a speaker to the National Auctioneers Association, Columbus Bankruptcy Bar Association, Alexandria Bankruptcy Bar Association and has been an instructor for the Lorman Education Institute.
