AJ entered the Real Estate Profession in 1991, selling residential assets. In 1993, he entered Commercial Sales and Brokerage and has worked with 6 Traditional Commercial Brokers and one Developer. He is experienced in sale, purchase, & leasing of Investment Property. He also has worked with the development of Commercial Assets such as Warehouse, Office, Office/Warehouse, Retail, Medical, Manufacturing, Multifamily, and Land. AJ started his Auction career in 2004, graduating from the Reppert School of Auctioneering and obtaining his Indiana and Ohio Auction Licenses. He has worked for 4 separate Auctions companies within the past 8 years selling Commercial Real Estate at Auction. He started Asset Services Group, Ltd., in 2004. It is licensed as an Ohio Auction Company and Real Estate Brokerage Company. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Ohio and a licensed sales agent in Kentucky. He is licensed as an Auctioneer in Ohio and Indiana.
Prior to his Real Estate Career, AJ retired from the IBM Corporation, having held positions in computer & software repair, sales, Sales & service management, course instructor, course development, Briefing Center Presenter, and senior corporate consultant. He presented for several years throughout the USA and Europe, the merits of doing business with IBM’s and its products to audiences of from 10 to 1,000.
AJ is a member of the National Auction Association (NAA), Ohio & Auction Associations where he is currently serving on the Board as the Treasurer, National Association of Realtors, Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), Tristate Association for Corporate Renewal (TACR, ICSC. He is a candidate for the CCIM Designation in Commercial Real Estate. He has earned his Certified Estate Specialist (CES) and Certified Auctioneering Institute (CAI) designations from the National Auction Association/Indiana University.
He expects to earn the AARP Designation by January 2012. He is working with the US Bankruptcy Courts and Financial Institutions in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky to liquidate commercial assets.
AJ attended Bradley University where he studied Electrical Engineering, Northwestern University where he studied Psychology, and Syracuse University where he studied business. He has served in the US Navy for 10 years during the period of the Vietnam Conflict. AJ is married to Cynthia Kohn. He has raised three girls and has 5 grandchildren.
