Lindsay is a recognized expert in the auction industry. He is a monthly compensated columnist for the National Auctioneers Association, 'Auctioneer' publication and the Michigan Auctioneers Association, 'The Gavel' publication.
In 1991, Lindsay's knowledge and leadership skills were recognized publicly when he was featured on an internationally broadcast television program hosted by Detroit's WJR reporter, Dennis Neubacher. Lindsay has also been a guest on numerous nationally and locally syndicated radio programs.
With a combination of live, silent and Internet auctions, Lindsay has conducted over 2,500 auctions.
In recent history, Lindsay has been internationally recognized winning the highly acclaimed auctioneering package through the National Auctioneers Association. Lindsay's firm dominated the 2006 Michigan State Auctioneers Association marketing competition by winning awards in five different divisions including the highly prestigious 'AUCTION OF THE YEAR AWARD'. There are thousands of auctions throughout the State of Michigan on any given year. This award alone speaks high volume to say the least.
In April 2008, Lindsay received the highly esteemed CAI designation at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana which is the highest possible designation possible in the auction industry. Auctioneers with the CAI designation are part of an extraordinary network of exemplary auctioneers in the auction profession. Only 1,100 auctioneers in the United States and Canada hold the prestigious CAI designation since the institute was established in 1976.
On the national front, Ken Lindsay received the ultimate honor in being nominated to the National Auctioneers Association Presidential Advisory Committee by NAA President-Elect, William Sheridan. Lindsay was elected to the Michigan Auctioneers Association Board of Directors and is the Chairman of the St. Jude Research Hospital Committee and the Public Relations/Newsletter Committee
