Information about The Holston River- The South Holston River begins below South Holston Dam, near Bluff City, TN. A nationally recognized trout fishery, the South Holston River has become very popular quality fishery, which produces several trophy trout each year. It has been voted one of the best tail waters in East Tennessee.

Fishing and River Description:
The South Holston River tailwater below is one of Tennessee’s premier fly fishing destinations. Rainbow and brown trout are common and smallmouth bass and red-eyes/rock bass, are also present and become dominant as you go downstream.
Wading the South Holston River
Fly fishers are very aware of the Holston River however public access is extremely limited on this tailwater. This is essentially a winter and spring trout fishing spot though.
Water temperatures in the summer are generally too warm for trout, but fishing
for smallmouth bass and carp can be excellent.
Terms- An earnest money check in the amount of 10% of the highest bid will be required on auction day; balance due at closing within 30 days.
Directions- From JC take Bristol Hwy turn right on Egypt Road go thru red light go 1.3 miles down Silver Grove turn right on Riverside and 2.7 Property on left. From Bluff City go over the bridge over the lake and turn right onto Silver Grove Rd. Turn right onto Riverside property is on left in aprox. 2 miles.
