28  Front:  DOOLITTLE.  Lid:  Doolittle in script.  Patented Jan 2 & June 12, 1900  Dec 24.  1901.  Lid has lugs that grip ridge top of jar for seal.  Qt., SCA 

29.  Front:  CRYSTAL  JAR.  Glass lid:  PATENTED DEC 17 1878.  Correct eared glass screw-on lid.  Qt.,  Beginning SCA 

30.  Schlitz blob-top beer bottle.  Front:  Schlitz in script.  This Bottle Never Sold.  Bottom: W.F. & S,  Took either a cork or lighting stopper.  Dark amber 

31.   Blob-top beer bottle.  Front:  A Gettleman Brewing Co.  Hand holding a beer glass circled by “Pure Malt & Hops”  MILWAUKEE.  Bottom:  W F & S  MIL

Other Antiques

 

1.  Tin Union Pacific wind-up railway Post Office car.  1940’s  Condition very good. 

2.  Tin toy car (MAR Toys)  1930”s?  Condition very good. 

3.Limoges (double marked) Fish Set w/platter and five plates.  Each peace signed “Luc”.  Complete with no damage.  1800’s.  (This set is in “The Decorative Art of Limoges” by Thomas Waterbrook-Clyde Keith.  Copyright 1999.  Pages 126 & 127.  Book to go with set)  

4. Limoges (double marked) Game Bird Set w/platter and six plates.  Platter is signed by artist.  Complete set with no damage.  1800’s 

5. Imperial smoke glass punch bowl with stand and 12 cups.  Crystal.  No ladle.  No Damage.  Unable to discern pattern. 

6. Pair of Limoges, signed “Max”, pheasant plates.  No damage.  1800’s 

7.  Two Saxon game plates (woodcock and grouse), unsigned.  No damage.  Early 1900’s 

8.  Chocolate Pot, possibly Austrian, Bottom: crossed swords under crown, w/R and C on either side of swords.  Marked: CRYSANTHEME over D(?)AVARIO.  Roses transfer design.  Pot and lid has no damage. 

9.  American made purple, end-of-day, slag glass, lattice or fluted edged plate (beautiful).  Unmarked but believed to date to 1870’s.   No damage. 

10.  English made purple slag, master salt.  1800’s.  Tree bark design.  No damage. 

11.  Authentic Greentown Chocolate, footed compote.  No damage. 

12.  Chocolate slag covered butter w/sea shells design.  No damage. 

13.  Chocolate salt (small).  No damage 

14.  5 gal. Crock butter churn w/side bale handles, lid and stomper.  Blue crown symbol on front with No. 5 encircled within crown. 

15.  Unmarked civil war saber with scabbard.  

16.  Dark brown glazed syrup jug with entwined snakes on front. 

17.  Field hand water jug.  Pat. 189? J.A WEEKS, AKRON  OHIO, W. BAIL HANDLE. 

18.  Civil war piccolo.  Rose Wood?  With either pewter or silver keys and joining bands.

19.  Civil war fife with either pewter or silver keys.  ‘USN’ hand-carved in peace along with some other symbols. 

20.  Hand carved image stamp for designing walls.  1800’s. 

21.  Ladies perfume bottle w/fancy stopper. 

22.  Collection of small hand-held ladies spittoons of various sizes, shapes, colors  and designs from 1800’s to 1960’s.

45. 1944?, One dollar bill marked Hawaii.  So marked to keep Japanese from flooding market with counterfeit money.  

46.  Print of a pen and ink sketch titled “Fredericksburg, Behind The Stone Wall” by A.C. Redwood, 1886.  Also signed “Evans”.  Framed, 11x16”.  

47. Dated: 1852 Metallic Tablet & Razor Strop w/leather covered box and label.   Very good condition.  Entire box and handle labels are legible.  Part reads: “When Nos.2.3.&4are dry from use apply a little sperm oil.”  Handle label on strop reads: “CURLEY CUTLLERY CO. MANUFACTURCRS, NEW YORK, USA.  Gilded numbers on strop handle line up with same on box which the strop slides into.  Super neat piece! 

48. A unique celluloid handled razor with “SPECIAL  F.W.E.” in metal on each end of handle.  Blade has “F.W.E. over  SPECIAL with engraving of a man and woman appearing in Eastern European style.  Other side of blade has F.W. ENGELS SOLINGEN, GR. w/GERMANY underneath.

1. Caption on back:  This aerial view of Pearl Harbor when the Japanese surrendered shows assault cargo and personnel vessels to the center and right; two  white painted Hospital ships, extreme left; and three carriers in the background.

 

2.  Small boats crowd famed Soochow creek in old Shanghai Sept. 2 as U.S. Navy airmen roar across the great city of the Chinese.  The fliers were from an aircraft carrier of the mighty U.S. Pacific Fleet.

 

3. More than forty-four months after being attacked by the Japanese, Pearl Harbor is shown from the air on the day of the Nip surrender.  This view indicates part of the tremendous power of the U.S. Navy which was standing ready to sail into the Japanese beaches had an invasion been necessary.

1. Pearl Harbor Naval Base immediately after the war.

 

2. Four picture series:  Admirial Towers-two photo’s, Admirial King, and Commodore B.L. Austin. (The rank of commodore in the U.S. Navy was removed after WWII.

 

3. American sailor (probably on shore patrol), shares a light with Korean counterpart directly after Japanese surrendered Korea.  1945.

 

4. This appears to be a stricken Japanese carrier under attack in port.
