UPDATE: POST SEASON AWARDS FOR FALL SEASON 2009 (junior year): Augustus received appointments to the two different All-Area Football Squads in south central Indiana (a 2nd Team All-Area in Bloomington IN and an honorable mention to the Wabash Valley Football Coaches team). Augustus also received Defensive Lineman Award from the Owen Valley Coaching Staff for 2009!! He had the highest number of Tackles For Loss and the most Sacks for Owen Valley in 2009, with a total of 62 tackles, including 4.5 solo sacks.

As of Fall of 2009, this is Gus' ninth football season playing on the O-line and D-line since second grade here in southern Indiana. Gus is starting Right Tackle and Right Guard on the lines for Owen Valley's Varsity team and has been since his incoming freshman year in 2007.
As of Sept 1, 2009, Gus weighs in at 262, stands 6'3" and wears a size 48-50L jacket and size 38 jeans -- this young man is all about bulk and muscle and got this way from natural healthful eating, weight lifting and everyday farm life. Current cleat size is 16EEE. He is 16 years old.
Augustus is a well-educated young, country man with diligent work ethics from living on the Hancock Family cattle farms all of his life. His GPA is currently 3.5 and Gus is in the Academics Honor Program at his local high school, Owen Valley in Spencer, Indiana. He is an officer in the FFA chapter, is in the Beta Honors Club, attends summer football camps regularly (including the Bishop Dullaghan in Indiana every June), went to the Colts' H.S. Combine in April, 2009 and plans to attend the April 2010 Combine, too. Gus also is an avid outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman, and loves paintball, when he gets the chance. Gus has also played baseball and thrown discus/shotput.
GOALS: Gus plans to graduate with honors in May, 2011 and continue his education playing D1 football and receiving his Bachelors. Gus strives to play in the NFL, then following his dream of going into the realm of coaching at the college level in this great game.
