We are proud to announce that Joshua's Antiques, LLC will now be hosting monthly antique auctions at our brand new auction facility, Somerset Auction Gallery, in Clinton, CT! Our premier NO RESERVE auction will be held on Friday, November 7th at 6:00 p.m. Extended preview starts at 2:00 p.m and runs until auction time, 6 p.m.. This no reserve auction is a combination of two very large estates: one from Old Lyme & one from Essex, CT. These estates combined will ensure a phenomenal ecclectic mix antique, vintage & unusual items to include many important pieces of art by Connecticut artists Thomas Watson Ball, Ethel Paxson and more, many antique nautical items, period & mission furniture, loads of antique lamps, hand made persian rugs, fantastic folk art & country finds, & much more!
So far, auction highlights include: Circa 1780 - 1810 Corner Cupboard with panel doors and painted butterfly shelving, period R Whiting, Winchester, CT tall case clock, one of the best nautical 1/2 hulls we've seen, mounted on oil painted background, LG & J Stickley & other mission furnishings. We're just scraping the surface on these large estates & discovering new items daily to bring to this no reserve auction. We will be uploading photos & adding to the highlighted items list daily so be sure to check back!
As always, consignments for this or any of our monthly auctions are welcome! Bare in mind, we, often accept consignments right up until auction day, so you're bound to see plenty of unadvertised surprises!
Home cooked meals, snacks & refreshments will be available in our concession area!
Joshua's auctions usually pack the house, but reserved seating is available!
