Textiles: Monogrammed bed & bath linens belonged to Grace Whitney Hoff (b.1862 - d.1939) daughter of David Whitney of Detroit who lived in a Chateau in France. (googleable) They come with a picture of Chateau chamber & bed for which they were made. Monogrammed bed linens from Labouchere Steinmann done in the 1930's for wedding and also Anne Marie Labouchere bed linens made in the late 1940's. St. Regis Hotel - NY show towel, Lovely Victorian silk embroidered Piano cover (slightly as is), Victorian Velvet Table cover w/tassels, Victorian Velvet runner.
2 Hand done quilts, Coverlet, Black centered Paisley, Ivory Signed Paisley, Embroidered Piano shawls, 2 pc. Needlepoint chair cover. Black Americana crib quilt, Mammy Duster holder, Mammy hot pad. Hats to include: C.1770-1780. A rare, very tall oval shaped Calash bonnet. Entirely hand sewn, olive green silk with hand writtten signature A.B. Washbrun. The Calash bonnet became popular during the 1760's and was worn to protect the towered powdered hairstyles fashionable during the 18th century. They were named "Calash" bonnets after the french word "caleche" (carriage) as they resembled the fold down tops of fine carriages.
