Headgear – German, U.S. and other countries combat helmets, including German WWII army, Luftwaffe, Paratrooper, Luftschutz, police helmets, German Visor caps, and US M1 combat helmets. Edged Weapons – Assortment of mainly U.S. and German daggers, swords, bayonets, fighting knives, including U.S. commercial knives. Field Gear – Large selection of mainly WWII German and U.S. field gear, including belts and buckles, canteens, eating utensils, back packs, ammunition pouches, military and commercial pistol holsters, ammo containers, web gear, combat boots, binoculars with leather cases, lot of military rifle stocks. Related Books/ Manuals– Military history/ reference volumes, field manuals, photo albums, German photo books. Nice group of framed posters, mainly U.S. WWI period. Tony Fachet Paintings- 9 oil paintings of military, commercial and futuristic aircraft. Uniforms and Related – German WWII uniforms. Highlighting this offering is an extensive W.A.S.P. grouping (Women’s Air Corps Service Pilot) all belonging to Virginia Nora Grant, Virginia successfully completed flight training, receiving her diploma April 1944, awarded the coveted central diamond shaped "WASP" sterling wings, May 1944. This grouping includes the following: Many photographs of both Mary and Virginia in flying gear, with their aircraft. Also included is a portrait of Virginia's father in his WWI aviator's uniform displaying post-WWI wings, WWI leather B-1 high altitude flight jacket with pants and flight boots, leather flying cap type B-2, flight helmet, leather, type A-11, another type ANB-H-1 with avionics, a civilian white cotton lightweight flight helmet, flight goggles. Also many photographs, pilot's log book, most entries dated 1941, a "Fifolina" (WASP) regulation patch, important original sterling marked clutch back WASP wings, reverse stamped "JOSTEN/STERLING", entire 3 ring binder containing photos, papers, and document related to Mary Creticos, small booklet, leather cover with embossed WASP wings and "Fifolina" insignia/Avenger Field, Sweetwater, TX, graduation certificate 15 April 1944, USAAF diploma, 13 April 1944, and other photos, negatives, and documents.
