Civil War Historical Significance 

As per Marilyn Cryder with the Delaware County Historical Society this original tract of land was owned by Colonel Moses Bixby who was one of the original Founders of Delaware. During the Civil War to the end in 1863 this area was the Encampment Site of the 96th Regiment which included two companies of Delaware County Volunteers. The white soldiers camped on this very high ground. There was a separate encampment of (colored troops) black soldiers located on the other side of the Olentangy River. When the barricks were taken down in 1963 they were sent to Camp Chase in Columbus, Ohio.

The original house located at 984 Stratford Road, Delaware, Ohio was built after the Civil War in approximately 1865.

 This Real Estate sell in "as is", "where is" condition with no warranty written or implied by the Seller, the Broker, the Auctioneer. All prospective buyers must complete their due diligence, research, and inspections prior to bidding to purchase this Real Estate on the date of auction.
