Hello, Auction Friends, We have made a decision to close the auction for the summer.  We want to spend some time in TX with our grandchildren. Charles and Lea

The following is an excerpt from an article about our auction in 85 South magazine.

Charles (Chuck) and Lea Billingsley, owners of Countryside Auction, started this booming local business only three years ago.  Charles, retired HVAC Manager at Dobbins AFB in Marietta, had always enjoyed going to auctions.  Lea, retired Administrative Assistant at Advent Lutheran Church in LaGrange, shared his passion for auctions.  They made a decision to open a local eclectic auction house.  ( a little of everything)  Charles, the auctioneer, went to school and obtained his auctioneer license.  Lea, with her administrative background, handles the financial part.  From the looks of the “filled-to-capacity” parking lot at their Friday and Saturday night auctions, they make a great team! Charles and Lea are active members of Genesis Baptist Church in Pine Mountain.  They always have free bibles available for the taking during their auctions.
