Mike O’Toole is a dedicated husband and father of three who has recently been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Mike is an active Kirkwood resident, a painter by trade and a very talented musician.

6.      Handcarved Olivewood Crucifix

This hand carved crucifix of olive wood could adorn a quiet place for prayer and reflection.  At the bottom is soil from Bethlehem; on the right is soil from Jerusalem; at the top is frankincense and to the left are olive leaves.  Blessed on the Anointing Stone, where Jesus’ body was anointed before being laid in the tomb, in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem.  The Crucifix is donated by Major Sean Haglund, USAF - an explosives expert with several tours of duty in Iraq.  He is a Bronze Star recipient and was in charge of Condoleeza Rice on her recent visit to Iraq.  Major Sean Haglund was just 4 years old when he met Mike but they have had a warm friendship through the years.
