SESSION 2 at 5 PM: Features an outstanding Carousel Zebra attributed to Charles W.F.Dare, circa 1890. The zebra is 48 inches tall, made of wood, with a hollow body. There is a fine selection of cherry, oak, mahogany and country furniture featuring 6 cupboards, including a painted Pa. Corner cupboard, a fine 19th century jam cupboard, a 2 piece early kitchen dry-sink/cupboard, a Flame Mahogany secretary with Bookshelf top, Mission Oak Stand possibly Stickley,sideboards, great oak curved china closet with curio top, restored oak icebox, baker's table, set of 6 oak chairs, 4 rush seat chairs, 8 pc. Maple dining room set, oak bonnet chest, oak 1 door bookcase, many dressers and stands, modern mid-century chair & ottoman, clean medical cabinet and matching stand, wicker outdoor furniture and so much more.
Art offerings include a folio size JJ Audubon 1845 lithograph "White Weasel"; an 18th Century Botanical by Besler; an 1837 hand colored copper engraving of an Indian chief by Biddle; framed Currier & Ives "Meeting of the Waters" 1868; EL Henry lithograph,1898; Fore's Coaching Incidents by J. There is a wide variety of engravings & lithographs available from a large collection. Subjects include botanicals, birds, insects & butterflies, scenic landscape,romantic and social scenes, political satire, fashion, Indian, outdoor & sporting scenes, architectural and engineering, nautical and more.
There are several pieces of fine and original art including a portrait of a Japanese man by Sigaut; an oil on canvas of a Japanese Winter scene; 19th century Japanese woodblocks, including a rare bath house scene; Japanese art by Araki, Kensuke Wakeshima. several framed Burmese (Myanmar area) paintings, works by Warhola, Planarbona, Rattner, Kemp, as well as other works by listed American and European artists.
Pottery, Glass & China include Fulper, Roseville, McCoy and other American Art Pottery. Several stoneware crocks & jugs, incl. blue decorated, yellow ware bowls, Czechoslovakian, Limoges, & American Limoges China sets, Majolica tobacco jar, depression & art glass.
Clocks & radios including a Grandfather's clock with sun & moon face, several wall & mantle clocks, & a Paris jeweler's clock, Bakelite case tube radios by Fada, Zenith, Emerson and others. 2 guns including a Mossberg 22, WW1 French helmet & gas mask, and pocket knives.
