Here is a short biographical sketch on Colonel Michael Matz. Raised on a farm in Walkerton, Indiana, he often would attend livestock sales with his father and grandfather at the sale barn in Walkerton. Colonel Matz graduated from Tyner High School, attended Bethel College in Mishawaka and graduated from Indiana University. He has attained the auction industry's Certified Auctioneer Institute CAI designation and has also graduated from the Accredited Auctioneer Real Estate school as well. Colonel Matz is the past Chairman of District I, of the Indiana Auctioneer Association. He is also a member of the Illinois and Indiana Auctioneer Associations. For over 17 years Colonel Matz has been conducting antique, estate, industrial, heavy equipment, charity and real estate auctions. He is a Vietnam veteran and has a total of 35 years service to his country. Colonel Matz is licensed in securities, insurance and real estate. He is a member of the Indiana, Illinois and National Auctioneer Associations. Mike is also a trained and certified Red Cross volunteer. He is member of the American Yankee Association for Grumman aircraft and is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Porter County Pilots Association.
