Matthew Moss is one of the co-owners’ of Moss Auction Team, LLC located in East Central Illinois. Matthew graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering in December of 1998 and is a licensed auctioneer in both Illinois and Indiana. His auction company specializes in the marketing of both agricultural and residential real estate, agricultural equipment and personal property. He is actively engaged in managing their auction staff in preparing, promoting and conducting their auctions held in both Illinois and Indiana. Matthew is an active member in the National Auctioneers Association, as well as the Illinois and Indiana state Auctioneers Associations. Matthew is a graduate from the University of Illinois in 1992 with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural/Animal Science. He is also involved in the managing aspect of the family farming operation consisting of 3,500 acres of a grain and livestock business that has been in the Moss Family since 1866. On the Moss farm, Matthew also oversees the family’s Clydesdale breeding operation. His family raises show quality Black Clydesdale horses that are exhibited on a national level. Matthew assists with many local fund raising events every year such as the annual 4H food and livestock auction, his area’s YMCA fund raiser auction, the Relay for Life American Cancer Society charity auction in his county and the annual auction for the local chapter of the Pheasants Forever. He is a member of the local First Christian Church in Paris, Illinois and he is also actively involved in serving has an elected Township Trustee.
