Leslie Lucas was born in Rome, GA and was educated in the local schools. From 1957-1960 he majored in Mechanical Engineering at Clemson University. He along with his brother Bobby founded Rome Auto Auction and has owned and operated it since 1960. He has also worked as a professional automobile auctioneer for most of the major outlets.
